Annapurna Sanctuary Trek

  • 1 - 10 persons
The Annapurna base camp trek is one of the most popular treks in the mighty Himalayan region of Nepal and it is the most visited trekking region in Nepal. This trek combines many different landscapes and brings you close to the base of 7,000m and 8,000m peaks in a short period of time. Annapurna Base Camp trek is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek.
You will witness numerous ethnic villages along the way including the home of Gorkha warriors. As you trek, you will have opportunities to gaze at the towering Himalayan peaks including the breathtaking fishtail peak — Machhapuchhare (6,993m/22,943ft).
This trek takes you from the villages of Nayapul which is at an elevation of thousand meters all the way to the Annapurna base camp which is at the elevation of 4130m.
As you trek you will pass through farm terraced, Bamboo forest as well as Rhododendron forest with stunning Himalaya views. Nayapul, where the trek begins, is just two hours drive from Pokhara.
We meander through beautiful villages like Syaubazzar, Ghandruk, Ginu, Chhomrong Himalaya, and Deurali until finally reaching the base camp of the Annapurna. After a short drive to Nayapul from Pokhara, we begin our trek through Ulleri and Ghorepani.
Then, we proceed further ahead to conquer the photographer’s heaven, the Poon hill (3,210/10,531ft), and capture spectacular views of popular peaks on your camera.
We continue our conquest through Chhomrong and pass through more crystal clear views of the unconquered Machhapuchhare peak (6,993m/22,943ft).
Our journey gets slightly more difficult during the ascent to Machhapuchhre base camp at (3,700m/12,139ft). The peaks of Annapurna-III (7,600m/24,934ft) and Annapurna-lV (7,400m/24,278ft) are visible from this point and the gigantic glacier of Machapuchare makes its presence felt.
The primary aim of the trek is to reach the Annapurna base camp (4,130m/13,550ft), a natural amphitheater, a scene that will remain etched in your mind forever.
